Visual Studio 2010 Lab Management enables development and testing teams to work together more effectively to optimize the build process and minimize regression-testing efforts. It helps reduce costs associated with setup, teardown, and restoration of complex virtual environments to a known state for build automation, build deployment, and test execution.
This 2-day course teaches the hands-on skills required to setup and manage an automated virtual lab environment for both development and testing teams. First, you will how to configure all Management components including Microsoft Hyper-V and Microsoft System Center Virtual Machine Manager. You will then learn how to create, manage, and maintain virtual machines and templates and how to install and configure the necessary agents for deployment, build, and test purposes.
This course is intended for:
- Systems Administrators – Who deploy and manage windows-based operating systems and have familiarity with networking and virtualization concepts.
- Lead Developers - Who support development and testing teams and have familiarity with Microsoft Team Foundation Server 2010.
