BizTalk for Administrators

Duration: 5 Days Format: Instructor-led hands-on Audience: This 5-day course is for IT Professionals who are responsible for planning, deploying, and managing a BizTalk Server 2006 environment.

Individuals who attend this course are expected to have the following prerequisite knowledge or experience:

  • Experience with managing a Microsoft Windows-based network environment
  • Experience with installing and configuring Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with a scripting language such as Microsoft Visual Basic Scripting Edition
  • Familiarity with Microsoft .NET concepts and technology
Prior experience with BizTalk Server is not required.
Description: This course teaches advanced management topics that are not covered in any other publicly available course. Attendees will learn how to install, configure, deploy, monitor, and manage a BizTalk Server environment. This course also covers advanced topics with hands-on labs for multi-server installations, trading partner integration, and disaster recovery.

  • Track and debug services using Health and Activity Tracking
  • Troubleshooting services using the Group Hub page
  • Evaluate system performance using Performance Monitor
  • Determine the performance of a BizTalk environment
  • Monitor BizTalk operations using MOM
  • Backup and restore BizTalk databases
  • Configure multiple MessageBox databases
  • Develop a disaster recovery solution for a BizTalk environment
  • Implement Enterprise Single Sign-On
  • Enable Business Activity Monitoring (BAM)
  • Examine BizTalk deployment best practices
