This instructor-led 3-day course will introduce developers and solutions architects to the knowledge and skills required to design and build services and applications using the Azure Services Platform. This course includes 40-50% of intensive lab activities to provide hands-on developer experience in creating and consuming applications using the Azure Service Platform.
Application developers with 1-2 years of experience developing .NET applications.
At course completion students will be able to:
- Describe the Azure Services Platform architecture
- Build and publish Cloud-based services and applications
- Identify and understand Cloud storage options
- Provision data storage using SQL Data Services (SDS)
- Use REST-ful APIs to access storage services
- Implement the Producer-Consumer pattern between Web Roles and Worker Roles
- Create Cloud-based ASP.NET applications
- Secure applications and service using the Access Control Service
- Expose locally-hosted services using the internet Service Bus
- Create client applications to consume services
- Manage and control service interaction using the Workflow Service
- Develop Silverlight RIA applications
