This course provides a comprehensive look at the new developer features and capabilities in SharePoint 2010. It is designed for developers who have experience with developing applications for earlier versions of SharePoint.

This class includes over 50% hands-on labs that teach you how to build custom SharePoint sites using the new developer improvements in Visual Studio 2010 and SharePoint Designer 2010.

• Navigate with the new Ribbon UI (user interface)
• Work with new Visual Studio 2010 project templates
• Build feature packages and configure deployment options
• Create and test Sandboxed solutions and configure Sandbox points
• Create and deploy a solution validator
• Enable and work with the developer dashboard
• Consume SharePoint’s new RESTful services
• Access  external data using LINQ
• Access the SharePoint object model using or with JavaScript, Silverlight, and JQuery
• Implement Business Connectivity Services (BCS)to access external content
• Create workflows including new site based workflows with SharePoint Designer 2010
• Implement claims based authentication and a custom claims provider
