Audience: This course is intended for end-users who are responsible for driving the use and adoption of SharePoint within their organization. Students should have some familiarity with SharePoint concepts and some hands-on experience in working with SharePoint lists.
Description: This course includes 40-50% of hands-on lab activities to introduce you to the common tasks associated with managing a SharePoint site including Microsoft Office synchronization, managing personal and collaborative content, accessing SharePoint content, using SharePoint search capabilities, document management, and automating a content approval processes.
At course completion, students will be able to:
- Describe SharePoint concepts and terminology
- Explain the feature differences between WSS 3.0 AND MOSS 2007
- Create SharePoint sites using different templates and Web Parts
- Customize SharePoint sites, templates, lists, and libraries
- Configure SharePoint list settings and manage access to SharePoint content
- Manage document libraries and configure document versioning
- Author and publish web content
- Synchronize SharePoint content with Microsoft Office applications
- Create and manage wiki and blog sites
- Configure SharePoint for targeting content to specific audiences
- Create a document approval process and use built-in workflows
- Manage enterprise search capabilities
- Configure and manage SharePoint meeting sites
