This 5-day instructor-led course provides advanced skills for building the next generation of distributed applications by using Windows Communication Foundation (WCF). With WCF, you can build secure, reliable, transacted Web services applications that interoperate with existing .NET technologies.

This course dives deeper than our WCF Immersion course, providing students with the skills required to create robust and secure applications based on WCF and the .NET Framework. In this course you will first learn about the WCF architecture and the components used to build WCF distributed applications. Then you will get hands-on experience in building applications that use the security, transactional, and reliability mechanisms that are built-in to the WCF platform.

• Describe the new Cloud Computing WCF architecture
• Identify WCF Extensible components
• Create and configure custom channels and bindings
• Create and configure WCF Line of Business (LOB) adapters
• Identify, configure, and create custom behaviors
• Identify and implement hosting options in IIS, WAS, and Dublin

• Manage and trace WCF applications using Performance Counters and WMI
